Nadeem Kassam is building a website that aims to become the Expedia of healthcare. The 23-year-old entrepreneur is the cofounder of Vancouver-based Connect the Doc Marketing, which he started in July 2010 with his twin brother, Nasheel.
Launched in October 2011, Connect the Doc is an online service that allows people to find private health-care professionals and book appointments with them. With 55 clinics listed on the site, users can currently schedule appointments with chiropractors, massage therapists, and physiotherapists in Vancouver. According to Kassam, Connect the Doc plans to add dentists soon and eventually expand its coverage area in order to serve the rest of Canada.
