First-year Laurier student Latif Murji has used his scholarship to make a gift to Laurier. Murji — a recipient of the TD Scholarship for Outstanding Community Leadership, which is valued at more than $70,000 over four years — generously donated $2,000 to help further develop the program he is most passionate about: Health Sciences.
Murji decided to donate to the program “because I felt this was a unique opportunity for me to have an impact at an early stage of our brand-new Health Sciences program and help it blossom into something special at Laurier.”
The Health Sciences program was developed in response to overwhelming student demand, and takes full advantage of the teaching expertise and research strengths of faculty and instructional staff in the Faculty of Science.
