KfW Entwicklungsbank and the Federal Foreign Office have for the first time jointly established a foundation which pools funds of different donors from numerous countries to finance overarching infrastructure projects in the border regions between Afghanistan, Pakistan und Tadzhikistan.
–snip– In cooperation with the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), five large and over 400 small-scale construction and rehabilitation measures such as bridges, markets and health care stations were financed already in the first pilot phase, which began in 2010 with a commitment of over EUR 6.1 million.
