Under the auspices of the Aga Khan Youth and Sports Board for the United States of America, the National Sports Tournament (NST) is an annual event that exhibits some of the most impressive athletic talent in the Ismaili Community from across the United States. The NST encourages the development of athletic skills, healthy lifestyles and friendly competition while embracing brotherhood and other Islamic ethics.
On October 22 – 23, 2011, in Dallas, TX, Ismaili athletes from all over the USA will get an opportunity to continue this celebration through sports by showcasing their athletic talent in different indoor and outdoor sports. Along with two full days of sports, entertainment and unity-building, the 2011 National Sports Tournament will highlight the broader objective of the importance of sports and exercise in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
