For the past decade, Liberal MP Justin Trudeau has made it a point to attend granting of Canadian citizenship events.
When he is at the event, Trudeau always retakes the oath of citizenship.
Speaking at the most recent citizenship ceremony Trudeau said new citizens are lucky to be able to choose Canada because that makes them appreciate it.
He said no one should take citizenship for granted.
