Back to the Aga Khan. Apart from being the spiritual head of a religious community, he sits on top of a network of institutions. They reach beyond East Africa, but around here, they are difficult to miss, that’s how much they are woven into the business and healthcare sector, for example. The Aga Khan is, in fact, a bit of an impact investor himself, except there’s more clarity about the investment side, which is what makes it work better, I think.
