Zahid Jiwa re-creates the nostalgic vibe of the 80’s wonderfully in his warped vhs montages. He has done videos for James Ferraro and a few other artists on the Olde English Spelling Bee label. We got a chance to talk to him about some of his newer work including a video he recently did for C V L T S. We are also premiering a brand new video from Zahid entitled BLACKBOX 2, watch it below.
s.o.t.r.-What bands have you done videos for? Any particular videos you are partial to?
Zahid Jiwa -I’ve worked on videos for a ton of bands most notably bands on the Olde English Spelling Bee label, but I’ve also done stuff for local bands, friends and of course for my own music. I do alot of stuff under different names so sometimes people might not know that it’s me that’s made it. I’m not really partial to anything I’ve done in the past, in fact I don’t really like to look at any of my old work. I’m usually just looking forward to the next project.
