There is always a connection somehow | Support the AKDN via the WPWExcerpt: 6. I am thankful that when learning about The Aga Khan and AKDN I am reminded that none of us here doing our great work and being our great work is doing that work alone. Yes, it begins with one inspired person planting and nurturing what people already have inside them. But the nurturing and cultivation is years of work with many, many people working together. The reason why I wanted to research AKDN and The Aga Khan is because a man I had taken a university class with (Sultan) offered me the opportunity to help support the work that money from World Partnership Walk goes to. I really like that AKDN seems interested in getting people a hand up instead of a hand out. I noticed that they walk their talk about making women and girls a priority by actually having women in leadership positions as well as helping them give themselves a hand up. –snip– not one cent is spent on administration”, sounds pretty darn good to me! If this organization and event resonate with you, you can sponsor Sultan’s walk here or maybe there is a walk in your city and someone you know is walking? :)
