Aga Khan University organising free medical camps in Karachi

KARACHI: The alumni of Aga Khan University (AKU) is organising free medical camp in different localities of the city on Thursday (today). The camps at Karimabad, Federal B Area; Bilal Colony, Korangi; Sultanabad, and New Sabzi Mandi areas are offering visitors an opportunity to check their blood pressure, weight, BMI and blood glucose levels. The camping will start at 11am and continue till 4pm where people will also be given information about basic hygiene practices and how to protect oneself from infectious diseases such as malaria, dengue and pneumonia. The visitors will also be offered a chance to speak to a mental health counselor, who will screen for depression and offer advice on how to manage stress, one of the main causes of depression.
