Punjani, who came by way of Mumbai and East Africa, built himself a fortune throught sheer dint of hard work – but for a long time now, this self-made millionaire has increasingly looked at ways of giving back. And he works equally hard at it.
As ever, the reticent Punjani was reluctant to enter the spotlight. “We have done this kind of event in the past and they were successful,” was his understatement to Focus.
His current initiative, the Scarborough Garden Party, will bring together community leaders to celebrate our diversity. The afternoon will feature epicurean delights and entertainment from India, China and Greece.
The fundraiser will support The Scarborough Hospital’s orthopaedic and paediatric departments.
