Aliya Bhatia was an International Politics major concentrating in Trans-State Actors. She wrote from Harbin, which is a Chinese city famous mostly for its January ice festival and Russian influence. While Harbin’s weather is a bit cold compared to her home-town of Atlanta, Aliya enjoyed the immersion experience, incredible teachers, and subjects including Confucian values, Mao Zedong Thought, and a variety of modern Chinese short stories.
