80 people become Canadians in Canada Day ceremony: Ismaili Muslim community hosted reception-Excerpt-

The Ismaili Muslim and Chinese communities of Edmonton hosted a reception for the new Canadians after the ceremony. Shairose Lalji, a member of the Ismaili community, has volunteered at the reception for the past 18 years.

“It’s our way of making sure that on this day, everything we do is celebrating our citizenship,” said Lalji.
