On May 30 in Vancouver, join thousands of other Canadians who have committed to taking a few small steps to fight global poverty. The World Partnership Walk is Canada’s largest annual event dedicated to increasing awareness and raising funds to fight global poverty. This year’s 5K Walk in Vancouver will take place at Lumberman’s Arch in Stanley Park.
All funds raised by the World Partnership Walk (100%) go directly to international development initiatives supported by Aga Khan Foundation Canada – not one cent is spent on administration. These funds support meaningful projects identified and implemented by local communities – projects that revitalize a rural economy, ensure clean water and sanitation, strengthen community-based organizations and educate new generations of girls and women. Funds raised by the Walk also help AKFC to leverage additional support from major donors like the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
