Azmina Govindji, leading Dietitian and TV Presenter

Azmina Govindji is a qualified nutrition professional, having graduated with an honours degree in Nutrition and obtained her postgraduate Diploma in Dietetics, both from Kings College, University of London. Azmina_Govindji_RD_000

She is fully registered with the British Dietetic Association and the Health Professions Council.

Her current national projects include writing for the Food Standards Agency eatwell website, coordinating a salt and saturated fat project with the British Heart Foundation and helping to implement the Change for Life Campaign for the Department of Health. Recent TV appearances include BBC 1’s The One Show, Channel 5’s The Wright Stuff and BBC1’s Watchdog.

She previously worked as a therapeutic dietitian in a number of London-based hospitals where she obtained wide-ranging experience in many aspects of nutrition and health.

Azmina took on the significant role as Chief Dietitian to Diabetes UK for 8 years, between 1987and 1995, where she acted as National Consultant on diet and diabetes for health professionals, food manufacturers, the media and the general public.
