Zafrin Khandani, a University of Waterloo student tragically passed away in July 2007.
Being a compassionate and kind individual, Zafrin inspired many during his academic career. He believed that his true calling in life was to bring the students together by increasing understanding amongst people of different backgrounds and faiths – the key to a more tolerant and peaceful world.
In loving memory of Zafrin, whose smiles and hugs were as big as his heart, Zafrin’s family and friends have established The Zafrin Khandani Memorial Award Fund for Religion and Culture Studies at Laurier in order to continue his noble legacy and aspiration of pursuing a degree in Religion and Culture at Wilfrid Laurier University.
The Memorial Award Fund is currently in the fundraising phase. The deadline is March 15. To date only about $9,000 of the goal of $30,000 has been raised. Your kind assistance is requested and will be much appreciated to help in achieving this goal.
