Children’s Hope Foundation (CHF), a humanitarian organisation working towards the welfare of underprivileged children across the world, has gained strong support from the local community of Dubai for its upcoming annual Charity Ball on November 6, 2008.
InterContinental Dubai Festival City, one of the newest five star hotels in the city, has extended its support to the event, and will provide the venue apart from dinner for 700 persons, all free of charge.
The CHF Charity Ball will raise funds for various charities that work for the well-being of underprivileged children.
Zenny Hirji, chairperson, CHF, said:
‘The support from the local community and organisations to our Annual Charity Ball is overwhelming. It highlights the strong concern shared by the community at large of under-privileged children and their desire to be active participants in improving their lives.’
She added:
‘The support from InterContinental Dubai Festival City is invaluable for CHF in conducting the event. We are thankful to the management of the hotel for their support – an expression of true corporate social responsibility, and we look forward to hosting a successful event that will raise funds for charitable causes.’

CHF, established in the UK in 1997, opened its Dubai branch in 2000 under the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman & Chief Executive of Emirates Group.
With over twelve voluntary members on the core committee, CHF has, to date, raised funds for a variety of causes – from smaller individual projects like providing wheelchairs for children locally, to supporting schools and hospitals on an annual basis.
