CEO of Aga Khan Foundation USA Igbal Noor Ali will discuss the business of international development and community service on November 6, 2008 at 3:30 p.m. in the Wilder Pavilion. The seminar is presented by the Bentley Alliance for Ethics and Social Responsibility and the Cronin International Center.
Since 1984, Iqbal Noor Ali has been the chief executive officer of Aga Khan Foundation USA, a private, nondenominational, not-for-profit international organization committed to the struggle against hunger, disease and illiteracy, primarily in Africa and Asia. In addition to running Aga Khan Foundation, Mr. Noor Ali also works closely with the development community in the United States by serving on the boards and committees of various organizations including InterAction, the Council on Foundations, the Independent Sector, and USAID’s Advisory Committee on Voluntary Foreign Aid and. Mr. Noor Ali was born in Karachi, Pakistan and he received a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from St. Patrick’s College in Dublin, Ireland where he also pursued an MBA degree. He continued his studies in business and finance after moving to Canada in 1969 and worked for ten years in public accounting and private industry.
