DUSHANBE, October 20, 2008, Asia-Plus – Pamir Media – Some 20 old villages have been rehabilitated in GBAO’s Darvoz district over the past ten years, Ms. Surayo Zaydova, deputy head of Darvoz said in an interview with Pamir Media. According to her, they, in particular, have rehabilitated electricity supplies to the villages of Zanirogh, Madara, Roghak, Yakhchisor, Khost, Gishoun, Khur, and Dashti Sher. Rehabilitation and improvement of the villages has become possible due to cooperation of local authorities with the Aga Khan Foundation’s (AKF) Mountain Societies Development Support Program (MSDSP), Ms. Zaydova said.
