Amir Samji was born in Karachi, Pakistan in 1952 and moved to Los Angeles USA in 1999. He is a Commerce Graduate and have been writing poetry since 30 years in Urdu. After moving to USA he tried to write poetry in English; and it clicked.
His daughter Kiran, inspires him to write. When he read her poetry ‘Behind the curtain’, it was so inspiring that it gave him courage to make a move in new direction.
Amir writes poetry in three languages i.e. English, Urdu and Gujrati. In English his poetry has been recognized by International Society of Poets and he has received number of awards such as Poet of the Year and Shakespeare Trophy of Excellence etc.
