Local Support Organization (LSO) convention in Gilgit, organized by AKRSP


Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) is organizing a three day LSO convention between 26-28 August, 2008 at KIU Gilgit to meet the following objectives:

Provide a larger forum for the LSO activists, staff, community leaders, development practitioners, policy makers, researchers, students to review the LSO process and its results;

Share and document ideas, experiences, lessons and knowledge on how to strengthen LSOs;

Discuss the challenges and opportunities and agree on strategic actions for the coming five years.

  3. This is a social organizer NRSP in AJK. according to my observation LSO is very important to organize the community,i am dealing three LSOs.LSO chinari,LSO hattian and LSO chatter Domail. actually i am from HUNZA misgar.

    i am a trainer of gems stone cutting and polishing. in 2008 i was training a program in AKRSP center chitral,2009 AKRSP center garam chasma .pakistan gems and jewelry develpment compeny PGJDC, suport us .But now a days i want to be train more an more

  9. I am working with Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) now we are going to organise communities at UC level in LSOs we want to support and guidance from AKRSP in the formation anf training of LSOs.
