VANCOUVER – This year’s annual Ismaili charitable walk winds through Stanley Park on Sunday, kicking off at 11 a.m. at Lumberman’s Arch.
More than 3,000 people are expected to participate in the family-oriented event, which includes a seven-kilometre adult walk and a shorter children’s walk, said event spokesman Farid Damji of the Ismaili Council for B.C.
He said more than $250,000 had been raised so far and more pledges were expected Sunday.
