Aga Khan Foundation luncheon, walk focus on pluralism

Dr. Eboo Patel, founder and executive director of the Interfaith Youth Core, touted the virtues of pluralism at a recent luncheon held by the Aga Khan Foundation USA.

“Pluralism is in every culture,” said the Oxford University graduate. “Conflicts are inevitable but not inherent.” To overcome these conflicts, he added, “frameworks need building, and cooperation needs nurturing.”

One way the Aga Khan Foundation promotes pluralism is through its annual Partnership Walk. Since 1995, the walks have been held in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston and Los Angeles, and also in Canada and Europe. The luncheon kicked off the Dallas Walk, set for Oct. 4.
