DUSHANBE, June 3, Asia-Plus — A three-day fair formally titled “Development of Mountain Areas of Central Asia” opened in Dushanbe today morning.
Organized by CAMP Kuhiston, which is branch of Central Asian Mountain Partnership (CAMP), Center for Development and Environment (CDE), Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), UNDP, German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GTZ), Tajik Agricultural University, Ministry of Education, Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) and CARITAS, the fair of exchange of advanced knowledge and practical experience in development of mountain areas is being held at the Kokhi Vahdat Stat Complex.
According to the Regional Environmental Center for Central Asia (Carec), the main objective of the fair is to provide interested sides, representing various regions and working in different directions, with an opportunity to share advanced knowledge and their experiences in development of mountain areas.
Organizations and individual persons from Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are participating at the fair.
The fair runs through June 5.
