In the spring of 2007, devotional poet and photographer Aly Sunderji launched his book, A Spirit To Be Reckoned With, at the Vancouver Public Library during Asian Heritage Month.
Aly Sunderji is a powerful young Canadian devotional poet and photographer who is currently studying culinary arts.
Sunderji’s interest in the arts have slowly blossomed throughout his life. He has always been intrigued by devotional expression. He has attended various art sessions, lectures, and conferences. The inspirations for his more recent poetry has been drawn from the literary works of Isma’ili Muslim mystics.
After attending the Sacred web conference in September 2006 he has had a greater understanding of spiritual life in an esoteric context. And He tries to reflect that in his poetry.
