His Highness the Aga Khan

It was at age 20-July 11, 1957 – that His Highness I’Aga Khan became Imam (spiritual leader) of Shiite Muslims imamites ismaïlisme. It is the 49th hereditary Imam of Shiite Muslims ismaïlisme and descends directly from the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by his cousin and son-in-law Ali (the first Imam), and his wife Fatima, daughter of the Prophet.
The Aga Khan emphasizes spirituality and philosophy of Islam and its faith, which teaches compassion and tolerance, and respect the dignity of man, the most noble creation of Allah. In the Shiite tradition, Imam’s missions both to protect the right of every human being to pursue his own intellectual quest and realize the ethical vision of society inspired by the message of Islam.

In each country, these institutions are working for the common good of all without distinction of religion or origin. Their actions affect all the education, health and architecture that the promotion of rural development and private enterprise.

The commemoration of the Golden Jubilee of His Highness I’Aga Khan began July 11, 2007 and will continue until July 11, 2008. During this period, His Highness will pay an official visit in a few … thirty-five countries. What it will celebrate the friendship and support by the various Heads of State, members of government and other partners in the activities of the Imamat Ismail.

The Prince Rahim

The eldest son of I’Aga Khan, Prince Rahim, assumes the responsibilities of the Executive Director of the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development (Aga Khan Fund For Economic Develop: AKEED) and attends especially the activities of the Fund in West Africa.

He earned a degree in Comparative Literature (BA) from Brown University in Rhode Island (USA) and followed thereafter, the course management and administration of the IESE Business School at the University of Navarra (Barcelona, Spain).

Prince Hussain

Prince Hussain is the third of four children of His Highness I’Aga Khan. Since the Secretariat of His Highness I’Aga Khan Aiglemont (France), it provides various functions since 1997.

Currently, it takes care programs conducted by Sadruddin Aga Khan Fund for the Environment, which is itself part of the Aga Khan. He is also the Aga Khan Trust for Culture (Aga Khan Trust for Culture: AKTC), a key institution’s vast network of Aga Khan Development (Aga Khan Develop Network: AKDN).

Princess Khaliya
