Special Correspondent: A new community center (Jamat Khana) was inaugrated in, Khizar Abad ward of the, beautiful Shimshal Valley, two days ago. Dr. Khawaja Khan, President Regional Council for Hunza, was performed the inaugration ritual. Large number of people from across the Hunza and Gojal valleys attended the inagural ceremony.
Shimshal Valley was connected with the modern world just a couple of years back, via. a vulnerbale road link. However, the Shimshali society is educated, energetic and progressive, thanks to the many efforts of AKDN and the Government of Pakistan.
Community centers play a very important role in social organization and development of the Ismaili communities.
