Aga Khan University’s IT director – praised for streamlining the digital library at Dow University

Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) students and faculty members can now acquire personal computers and laptops on easy instalments.

This service was offered by the Sindh chief minister’s IT advisor, Noman Saigol, during the inauguration ceremony of a digital library at the DUHS Medical College on Wednesday.

Aga Khan University IT Director Javed Deshmukh, who was the guest of honour at the ceremony, said that constant input is required to sustain IT units in any organization. SMC Principal Dr Tariq Sharafatullah praised Deshmukh for the role he played in streamlining the digital library scheme at DUHS.

Sharafatullah said that the digital library was a major step towards the improvement of research and academic logistics for students and medical professionals. He also announced that two floors of the library at SMC are almost complete.

Mementos were later presented to the chief guest, guest of honour, and professionals associated with the digital library project.
