Rita Hayworth Galas – Fund-raising events for the Alzheimer’s Association

Rita Hayworth Galas

The Rita Hayworth Galas, held annually in New York City and Chicago, are major fund-raising events for the Alzheimer’s Association. They honor legendary film star Rita Hayworth, who had Alzheimer’s disease. The galas are hosted by Ms. Hayworth’s daughter, Princess Yasmin Aga Khan. The Chicago gala takes place on Mother’s Day weekend, and the New York gala is in the fall.

Since 1985, the Rita Hayworth Galas have raised more than $44 million. One hundred percent of those funds go toward research and support programs.
