Ali Jaffer is a Social Sector Expert with McKinsey & Company based in Toronto. He is also currently Global Director of Programs with Generation, the first initiative of McKinsey Social Initiative, a non-profit created by McKinsey in 2014. Generation seeks to help to support one million youth transition into meaningful jobs across five countries.
Ali serves on the North York General Hospital Board of Governors, and is a member of the Quality Committee as well as the Audit and Finance Committee.
Ali has an MBA from Harvard Business School, and did his undergraduate work at the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated with a B.Sc. Economics, as well as a BS in Nursing. In addition to his McKinsey experience, Ali has also spent time at the World Health Organization and has also volunteered at several education and health care non-profits.
