The annual event organized by Detective Karim Bardai of York Regional Police raises funds for charitable organizations in York Region which include Victim Services, BigBrothersBigSisters and Special Olympics. This year the Aga Khan Foundation Canada was added as a recipient to promote the foundation’s work around the world in York Region. Secondly, the purpose was to encourage the Ismaili youth who are seeking a future career in policing to interact with Law Enforcement Officers in a community based event.
Present in the picture are Chief Jolliffe, Deputy Chief Carrique, Detective Karim Bardai and Zahir Lalani National Convener, Donor Services accepting cheque on behalf of AKFC.
Next year’s event will be held on Sunday 05 June 2016. All youth and Jamati members are welcomed to participate in the ride.
