Meet Tina Parbhakar: Canadians Take Steps to End Global Poverty

Meet Tina Parbhakar: Canadians Take Steps to End Global PovertyVancouver Sun: On Sunday May 25th, 2014 Vancouver will join cities across Canada in the 30th annual World Partnership Walk, to increase awareness and raise funds to help fight global poverty. An initiative of Aga Khan Foundation Canada, the Walk attracts tens of thousands of Canadians united in a common effort to bring hope and renewal to poor communities living in Asia and Africa. Since its start 30 years ago, the Walk has raised over $82 million for international development programs and initiatives, with 100% of funds raised going directly towards international development projects (not one cent is spent on administration).

Over the next few weeks, we will be presenting interviews and stories about the impact of the Walk, in the pursuit to end global poverty.
