Biography: Jameel was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. He then ventured out to Toronto and earned a Bachelor of Applied Science with Specialized Honours in Space Engineering. He then began his journey back to the West Coast by moving to Edmonton, where he worked for a year in industry before transitioning to his true calling as a Chartered Accountant in Nanaimo. Jameel specializes in helping aboriginal communities and their economic development entities meet their goals. Jameel works on a number of aspects of accounting with his clients, including everything from startup and tax planning strategies, providing assurance services and consulting. He strives to become a business partner to his clients and works with them to meet their individual goals. Jameel is confident that MNP helps him offer the highest level of service to his clients. MNP not only has specialists in various services, such as accounting, advisory, tax, consulting and business valuations, but also has specialists in each industry. This wealth of knowledge and experience is available to each and every client to draw upon and allows for individually tailored business advice. In his spare time, Jameel volunteers as the President of Nanaimo Youth Services Association and the Treasurer of the YPN in order to support the great community he and his clients live in. Jameel plays various sports, such as hockey, soccer, golf and tennis and you may find him out for a run or walk with his wife, Renita, and their dog, Diego.
