Mahamadou Sylla is the new CEO of Industrial Promotion Services – IPS (WA), Institution Development part of the Aga Khan Development Network. He replaces Mahmoud Rajan who has retired.
IPS (WA), for the occasion, organized a friendly ceremony this Friday at the Sofitel Hotel Ivoire in Abidjan, to say goodbye to the ” tireless worker “Mahmoud Rajan and wish the traditional akwaba to its dynamic successor, Mahamadou Sylla.
Mr. Christian Godde, PCA IPS (WA) sent Rajan thanks to His Highness the Aga Khan and all Directors AKFED (Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development) and IPS (WA ) for the work at the head of the institution.
Mr. Vamissa Diomandé, CEO of Ivory Cotton and Cotton Faso, subsidiaries IPS (WA), expressed their gratitude to Mr.Rajan for spending 35 years of his life to the development of the institution since his first position as Head of Scheduling sheets Ivoire in 1978 to the position of CEO he held from 2005 to 2013.
The new CEO, Mahamadou Sylla served as Deputy Managing Director of IPS (WA) since 2005, after 13 years at Coca Cola, where he held the position of Vice-President.
The ceremony was attended by personalities including Ambassadors, Directors of private companies and public administration, and many friends.
IPS (WA) is a development institution, which employs more than 4,500 people in ten companies located in Côte d d’Ivoire, Mali, Burkina Faso and Senegal. It covers four areas of activity are: Packing with FILTISAC, FASOPLAST, EMBALMALI, COFISAC and FUMOA; Agro-industry with IVORY COTTON, COTTON FASO, SN SOSUCO and CAJOU of SAVANES; Infrastructures with ENERGY AZITO and EDM.
