05 February 2014 – His Highness the Aga Khan today met with Germany’s foreign minister, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, to discuss cooperation between the German government and the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). The discussions focused on intensifying joint efforts by Germany and AKDN to stabilize fragile states.
Later in the day the Aga Khan led a delegation of senior AKDN executives at meetings with the top leadership of Germany’s KfW Development Bank and its DEG Development Corporation branch – the Network’s long-standing partners on projects in Asia and Africa.
