As the Director of the Aga Khan Early Learning Centre, Dubai (AKELC) and an experienced early years educational leader from Australia, it is my pleasure to present to you this information pack which provides details about our unique centre and our evidence-based approach to early childhood education.
The AKELC is purpose built with the aim of offering interactive experiences and creative educational spaces for young children that promote the joy of lifelong learning. The child-friendly environment and the well-trained teachers and caregivers provide a wide range of activities that are designed to stimulate children’s emerging bilingualism, as well as their social/emotional, physical and intellectual well-being. At our Centre, the teachers encourage children to plan, work and review their learning experiences daily. We place a high value on diversity and pluralism and it is with pleasure that we welcome all families into our dynamic learning community.
