HAMILTON, ON – Hamilton Bulldogs President and Governor Bob McNamara announced today that Naila Jinnah has been appointed as the hockey club’s new Director of Media Relations.
Jinnah has ample experience in media relations in the non-profit sector, notably as Deputy Convenor, Media and Marketing, for Aga Khan Foundation Canada’s World Partnership Walk in Montreal. She also has a background in sports journalism and broadcasting, and has worked on iconic shows such as CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada as well as on other large-scale sports productions for HBO, Tennis Canada, and Dome Productions.
A native of Montreal, Quebec, Jinnah earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Concordia University. She is also currently completing a master’s degree in kinesiology (socio-cultural studies of sport) at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. Her expertise lies in the field of online branding and social media, particularly in the sports industry. Fluently bilingual (French and English), Jinnah will oversee day-to-day operations of the organization’s media relations department, including media credential and interview requests.
