Amir Ali Alibhai leaving Alliance for Arts to join Aga Khan Trust for Culture

After three years advocating for the arts with the Alliance for Arts and Culture, Amir Ali Alibhai is stepping down as executive director.

In a message on the Alliance website, Alibhai said he was taking on a position as a consultant for the Aga Khan Trust for Culture’s project to establish the Aga Khan Museum, scheduled to open October 2013.

Alibhai, who joined the Alliance in 2008, expressed sadness at leaving the Metro Vancouver area after more than two decades.
