Al-Risala al-Mujiza al-Kafiya – The Institute of Ismaili Studies

The Risala al-mujiza is the only known exclusively Ismaili work of the genre of adab, giving a detailed description of the ideal da‘i. The ideal da‘i, according to al-Naysaburi had high educational qualifications, extraordinary moral and intellectual attributes and strong organisational abilities. Having sufficient knowledge of the zahir and batin, the shari‘a and its Ismaili interpretation (ta’wil), the da‘i was often trained in jurisprudence and well versed in the Qur’an and hadith in addition to being knowledgeable in philosophy, history and other religions and civilisations to Islam.
