LOS ANGELES: This month for 16 days, the 2008 World Festival of Sacred Music-Los Angeles will present nearly a thousand artists performing in 41 sacred events of music and movement throughout LA UCLA’s Royce Hall initiated the city’s program with an impressive lineup of five diverse groups of artists that literally covered the world.
the opening night reception, hosted by His Highness Prince Aga Khan Shia Imami’s Council for the Western United States, also honored the “Local Heroes Project” which included Indo-American and former student at UCLA, Navin Doshi who has been a regular supporter of UCLA’s South Asian History Department and cultural events.
