Even as a resident of Ottawa, I did not realize the immense presence of the Delegation Building until I had the pleasure of showing around this small and charming capital of Canada to a visiting guest. One might think that it can only be seen from the street it resides on – Sussex Drive. But cross the bridges onto the Quebec side and its distinct presence can be seen from several locations across the Ottawa River. Then as you return to Ottawa via the King Edward Bridge, you can see its magnificent dome and the length/breadth of the building on your right.
Mawlana Hazar Imam has a perfect vision for everything he plans and does for the Jamats – from locations to eye (and soul) soothing design and architecture. Of course he is perfect.
