SPECIAL CLINIC ORGANIZED JOINTLY BY HOSPITAL
AND THE ‘GASTRO-ENTEROLOGY SOCIETY’ OF KENYA
Coastweek – – Aga Khan Hospital Mombasa has made remarkable coast medical history by hosting the first ever gastro-enterological camp for the under privileged in the hospital and in the coast province, reports PATRICIA HUGHES SCOTT.
This special clinic was held on Saturday, 23rd June and organized jointly by the hospital and the Gastro-Enterology Society of Kenya, which is a group of physicians who specialize in this particular medical area, practicing in Mombasa and Nairobi.
“Gastro-Enterology is a special examination where viewing of the esophagus, stomach and duodenal lining is done through the mouth (Upper Endoscopy), and intestinal lining through the anus (colonoscopy).
