“The inspiration and guidance you have always known existed but never before encountered.”
I gave a lot of thought to the above statement, which appears on the front Anil Giga’s book, The Invisible Way. What exactly does that mean? I said to myself, “I know about that ‘in’ ward journey, having been on this quest for a number of years.” I found myself wondering why this claim by Anil would be any different than those made in the hundreds of books I have read in the past.
Well, one day as I sat in Starbucks reading Anil’s book, I felt tears running down my face. The tears were not from sadness, joy, or a smoke-filled room. Instead, they were tears of my soul as it connected with the truth written on the pages of this book; i.e., a deep knowledge that what I was reading were the answers for which my soul had been singing for years. Through Anil’s writing, I was able to hear that song for the first time. I don’t remember the specific words that evoked my response and it really doesn’t matter, it was the feeling the words left in my heart.
As I read on, new insights came to me. One was that if I hear one more guru sitting on a mountain top saying all the answers are to “meditate….meditate.” Yes, right all the answers. But then as I read on, something that I have never heard before was the “why” meditation helps one find the answers. Then came something even more surprising: “how.” Yes, Anil actually explains on a step-by-step basis how to meditate, whether one is a beginner or advanced. He does so with easy-to-do steps which don’t make you feel stupid because you can’t quiet your mind. It helps you do steps and knows that, at first, your mind might get louder. But meditation, as learning how to run a marathon, takes practice.
Thanks, Anil, for being wise enough to give us answers in a way that anyone can understand. Thank you for making my soul sing and my ears listen.
