1. having just returned from climibing Kilimanjaro with my son and husband to raise awareness of AKDN and doing a fundraiser as a family for the “joining hands initiative” – seeing the site of Arusha University where Hazar Imam was during the day of our climb, visiting Zanzibar and the park as well as Dar-es-Salaam AgaKhan hospital and now the opening of the Museum and the Ismaili JamatKhana; i feel emotionally elated and spiritually humbled of being an Ismaili woman in the western world celebrating Islamic art and identity and finally knowing that my colleagues and friends will see, feel all about the AgaKhan and Ismaili community.
   today is trully a proud historic moment for us in the Western world and for all of you out there in TO, doing amazing work while not even 40 minutes away Hazar Imam will open the Museum and Ismaili centre- thank you. And off course the gift shop that has brought artifacts into everyday personal items, what a great way to share a bit of the museum piece- something i kept wondering while in Zanzibar of the amazing Islamic artifacts i saw around me………May you all feel the happiness of todays day and keep it in your heart for many years to come.
