Plant-Based Health Online – the UK’s first CQC-registered online, plant-based lifestyle medicine healthcare service

#Didyouknow Unhealthy diets are now the top cause of chronic illness around the world? These eating patterns have contributed to our current global health crisis with rising rates of overweight, obesity, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, certain cancers and dementia.

Between May 2012 and May 2019, after attaining full accreditation from the Medical Council of Canada.

The good news! Founded by Dr Laura Freeman and Dr Shireen Kassam (certified lifestyle medicine doctors with extensive personal and professional experience) have launched Plant-Based Health Online – the UK’s first CQC-registered online, plant-based lifestyle medicine healthcare service.

PBHO will be using plant-based nutrition as one of the tools to help patients regain their health, because we recognise that unhealthy diets are one of the top causes of ill health in the UK, and adopting a plant-based diet is one of the healthiest choices there is. We will meet patients wherever they may be on their journey to a healthier lifestyle. Dr Shireen Kassam

PBHO offers a team of experts who will deliver healthcare in a way that puts patients and their families first.

A lifestyle medicine approach has the potential to prevent and treat the majority of chronic conditions affecting people in the UK, such as high blood pressure and cholesterol, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity and certain cancers. Dr Freeman herself turned to lifestyle medicine after her own diagnosis of cancer and has never looked back.
