Zahra Virani: How Music and Art Portray Cosmopolitanism TEDxClearBrookHighSchool- Houston 2019

Violence. Discrimination. War. Loss. These are all among the consequences of our negative perceptions toward diversity. In this inspiring talk, young artist and musician Zahra Virani shares how the arts can help us understand the necessity and beauty of differences. Through the universal languages of music and art, she shares how we can build the path to a better future for the world at large. A future where every single person is a cosmopolitan; a citizen of the world.

Zahra Virani is currently a freshman at Clear Brook High School. She is passionate about music and art and hopes to make a difference in the world through her talents.

  1. VaashaAllah! Wonderful performance, Zahra! Well done! I enjoyed it very much. To accept pluralism we must come from the fact that we all live in diverse world. We have to be pluralistic because the world is diverse. The other way leads only to destruction.
