LEXPERT Rising Stars honours Canada’s leading Lawyers Under 40 – from law firms and in-house – this event pays tribute to the rising stars of the legal community.
Ally Bharmal, recipient of this year’s award is a corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and corporate/commercial Partner in Fasken’s Vancouver office. He primarily advises private companies in the technology and food and beverage sectors, with an emphasis on start-up and incorporation matters, angel and venture capital financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, board governance and ongoing commercial matters. Ally has acted on over one hundred venture capital or similar financing transactions and on some of BC’s most prominent recent mergers and acquisitions deals, making him one of the leading young lawyers nationally in these areas. Dedicated to community service, Ally serves as Legal Member of the Aga Khan Council for Canada, as a Director of the BC Food Processors Association and of TiE Vancouver, and with various community organizations supporting the needs of children, including Social Venture Partners and BC Children’s Hospital. He is also a regular speaker at events for both the food and beverage and technology industries.
