The Aga Khan Museum, which is scheduled to open in Toronto next year, will hold its first series of outreach events this autumn in three American cities. Enlightened Encounters will introduce the public to some of the key pieces in the Museum’s collection, as well as to the Museum’s performing arts and education programmes.
“Enlightened Encounters is an excellent opportunity for the Jamat, and the general public, to experience the varied offerings of the Aga Khan Museum,” says Henry Kim, the Museum’s Director. “By travelling to three important cities in the United States – Chicago, Dallas and Houston – we will be able to give people a taste of what is to come when the Museum opens in Toronto in 2014.”
The event will reflect the diversity of the Museum’s programmes.
